Re: Cascade Mnts., Oregon

It looks more like the Fall River strip or somewhere around that area?? Are you wanting us to guess or are you wanting to just keep it a secret?

If you guess correct or know the location, I will confirm!

Any ideas? Or do we need a another hint?

Re: Cascade Mnts., Oregon

Awesome pictures! I'm jealous!

The school I rent from doesn't allow soft field landings, so I can't ever go check them out, but there are a lot of neat little strips in the mountains. I've flown over some cool strips that might be good places for ski's in the winter if the ODA din't close them.

Re: Cascade Mnts., Oregon

For those who are interested, there's a good story on Beaver Marsh, past, present and future in last month's Oregon Pilot's Association newsletter. It's a few pages in:

Re: Cascade Mnts., Oregon

Good article! The AFD says closed winter months so I called the owner and he did not have any issues with ski ops. I hope they open Cresent Lake and the other snow covered strips one day!

Thanks for your info!

Does anyone know the status of the Fall River strip? It had Xs on it for a while. Last time I flew over it looked like the saplings on the east end of the runway are high enough to brush the underside of the wings.
