Cessna birddog pponk...possible?
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

I have a PPonk O470-50 (O520) in my Birddog. It is one of three that were field approved in Alaska. It uses the motor mount from the STC'd IO470K (225HP) conversion that Mike Jones A/C sells. The other changes include a gravity feed fuel system, modified carburetor, Monarch extended tanks (20gal w transfer pumps), and a modified cowling. It also sports a C-401 McCauley 86" 3 bladed propeller. My aircraft and a sistership in Homer, AK were completed using the paperwork from the third aircraft in Kodiak, AK. All three aircraft were on floats with mine now being on wheel gear in Camarillo, California. In the future, I am planning on getting approval for a supercharger on the engine. It is a hoot to fly!

Is it a working plane, or a fun plane? (I guess it could actually be both

)
How about a photo?
I'm glad someone resurrected this 1-1/2 year old thread, just this morning I was reading an article about Jimmy New's L19 in an old Affordable Flying magazine.
