Cessna titanium axles!!
Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?
I just saw these cool axles made by Airframes. Super light titanium axle next to their steel axle. This is a must for you weight saver wagon drivers.

Saw another report on this recently somewhere. As I recall, the titanium axles are actuallybeing produced by Landing Gear Works. They also produce titanium gear legs for Cessna taildraggers. Landing Gear Works is owned by Tom Anderson of XP Modifications fame.

I don't know who makes them, but FWIW Aircraft Spruce lists FAA-PMA steel Cessna axles "for models 180, 182,185, & 206" at $365 each, page 295 in their latest catalog.

So we spend a couple of grand to save two pounds. Awesome. Most if us could loose 2 pounds without much of a diet.

It might be worth it if they were organic, free-range, and were read to regularly during their manufacture. But that's just me.
