The new toy. That's Arts office for Rocky Mountain AG just above the nose, what a great couch.

Colorado in February at 13,500ft.
Well the big snow storm in Colorado didn’t get me and that’s a good omen. You see, I sold my Zenith 701 to a friend so he could cross off another item on his bucket list. Then I noticed I had nothing to fly, big problem. So I started looking for a really good deal and I think I found one. I like Pacers and have a lot of good stuff for them (you know the things your wife calls JUNK). So I went looking for a Pacer. They are a good buy but I was looking to steal something, so no luck in the Pacer department. But The TriPacer opportunities are everywhere. I found a very clean 1957 PA-22-160 with 1943hr on it, all original. No one has messed with it. It even had a Loran in it. Anybody want a good deal on a Loran? I made the deal and let’s just say I stole it including a fresh annual.
So with a big storm coming to the Denver area and the plane in Colorado Springs I got on a commercial flight with my pockets full of hundred dollar bill.
After two days on the sofa the clouds lifted enough for me to get going. So I took it to 13,500 to get out of the valley and on my way to Gallup New Mexico. Then on to Lake Havasu Arizona “KHII” for fuel and lunch. If you’re down that way the FBO is great, fuel prices are very good and Waldo’s restaurant is wonderful. The last leg on in to Kern Valley Airport was normal.
Now the work begins, Tail wheel, Wing tips, vortex generators, bush wheels, etc.
What a great Trip.
Rick
