Continental starters...tempest no longer?
Lycoming, Continental, Hartzell, McCauley, or any broad spectrum drive system component used on multiple type.
Has tempest stopped making starters?
For my 0-470, should I get an Energizer?
Thx

I believe the "energizer" is a style of starter. Tempest was making them, but I learned that they are no longer in the business. Hartzell makes one. They are heavy, but they work well.

Tempest has been selling the “powerflite” starter which is an improved version of the energizer. I bought the powerflite last year and have been very pleased with it. A quick look at aircraft spruce now shows it to be a dead link? Also now mention of it on the tempest website, very strange...
