The National Park Service has approved Saturday, December 15th 2012 for Maintenance at both Furnace Creek and Stove Pipe Wells.

The maintenance needed is light. All the Tie-Down cables at both strips need tightened and some additional cable clamps are needed. Anyone looking for a reason to see the Death Valley when it’s not 120-degrees is invited. Temperatures are expected to be in the 70 to 80 range unless a storm moves in. If you plan on camping for the weekend expect the nights to be in the 30 to 40 range. There is camping at both Furnace Creek and Stove Pipe wells. In addition there is the Chicken Strip only about 30-min away for camping and Hot Tubs.
This is a FLY-IN event.

Anyone that can come out to help please e-mail me or call as I need to get a list of volunteers to the NPS. Any questions as to the work needed or the facilities feel to call or e-mail.
Thanks in advance for your help.
