Died living his dream!

Any body else herd of this guy? I made contact with an old school acquaintance that lives in Wasilla and she sent me this. WOW

Yes, he was well known around here for his adventures to AK, and his excellent body of photography. His father Norm is a BCP member.

First I've heard of him Zane his story & photography is truly awesome. Norm I hope I didn't bring up something you've been trying to forget you certainly had a son to be very proud off.

This young man was full of life, a tasted it everyday..............he lived more than many of us could do in several life times.....what beautiful pictures and thanks so much for sharing....God bless his soul............

Getting a bit carried away. I have been married to the same babe for 40 pluss years, four kids and 11 grand kids. One grandkid on th way. I have lived pretty darn good.

I am not knocking what he did and I am sure he is missed a lot. But a bit of perspective here. I just lost a young friend to cancer and she did not put herself in high risk to get it.

I agree with Bighorn completely and I think he was referring to the adventurous aspect to Shaun's life not how long he was married or how many kids he had. Shaun definitely had a nack for living out what most of us only dream about. Seems most of us (myself included) often times talk big about adventures and dreams but rarely do we take the steps to live them. I think Shaun was in his late 20's when he died and by the looks of his pics and the places and variety of activities he did, I would say he lived a great deal... even much more than most.

Now, if I could get this blasted Bearhawk done and flying, maybe I could start "living" instead of dreaming.

I don't know why the original poster put a question mark in the topic after "living his dream", it should have been an exclamation mark, as in absolutely no question, he was doing so! Tragic, but man he was sure having fun.......

I lost my son when he was 16,,And Norm i know what your going threw,,,talking about it helps,,we live our life threw our children ..but at sometime we'll see them again,,and there won't be enough Hugs to give them and enough B.S. to talk about ,,

My guess is that Russ didn't know the full story about Shaun's life and what happened. That's why he asked the question!

Shaun Lunt did about the best job I know of capturing the beauty and essence of flying in Alaska. I grieved during the unfolding reporting of his tragic crash along the Alaska coast.

Hi All,
Truly a tragedy to loose someone who was so passionate about telling his aviation story.

Does anyone know if any of these photos are available as prints for digital purchase? I would love to get some of them for myself and friends?
