And where would we find this "Crooked Creek Store"?

Since I'll be traveling to Alaska in May.... maybe I should make my route through Michigan, stop for doughnuts, then on to Crooked Creek, then Soldotna... and try them all.

If you are coming up on the east side of the mountains, you'll most likely be on HWY 43 coming north from Edmonton. About 4 hrs north of Edmonton you'll find Crooked Creek. You'll come through Valleyview and then the native reserve. Shortly after that Crooked Creek is on the left (south) side of the hwy. Marked by a massive tire that says "Donuts" on it. If you stop you could bring me a few as you'll be driving right by my place an hr later. I'm just out of Hythe with a grass strip running right up to the hwy.

Re: Doughnuts

I should have mentioned... I'll be traveling by Cessna 180.

I will pass this along to my buddy who will be pulling a 5th wheel up the highway though.

Mention where you heard about them, and that an airstrip outback would be good for future business! :D

They do need a proper runway. Rumor has it a plane can land there though...
