Early Chrismas, Wing-X came in the mail

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Early Chrismas, Wing-X came in the mail

After being held up for a month by highway closures in BC my Wing-X kit for the 185 has arrived. Now I just need the AME to find a block of time to install it. I'm really looking forward to adding this to the 185. I had always felt that with Wing-X my old 180 got off the water just as quick as the stock wing 185's. Now that I have a stock wing 185 that suspicion has been confirmed. I'm looking forward to seeing what the 185 will do with Wing-X.

I'm planning the same "gift" for my 170B this Spring when I change over to floats, I'm convinced she's earned it.

It's not a gift for the plane. Being allowed to buy it was my wifes Christmas gift to me
Actually we had both noticed the need for it and felt it was a good safety item to install on the plane.

Agreed; I'm looking at it for the increased safety margin as well, not planning to "access" the gross weight increase it offers.

Wish my plane would fit in my hanger with a Wing-X install. The enhanced safety would be nice.
