Hello Folks,
1st timer here. Nice to meet you all.
Swingwing's list reads like mine if you'd add floats....and a chute and the new amsafe airbag belts.
I like the Wag Aero J-3 too.
I wonder how feasible would buying both the clip and long wings with the acro fuselage would be.
Change the plane around according to mission.
Clip wing, little wheels for Ahhkro. Long wing and floats/skis/bigger tires for adventuring.
I have no idea what the regs might have to say about this approach.
Can you legally reconfig and fly a multi-configurable ac without doing a full dog and pony papershow everytime you change on a proven design like the Wag (J-3)? I know you'd log the changes, but would there be any other requirements?
I'm really fuzzy on the slsa/elsa/etclsa distinctions.
What experience I have is mostly part135. Y'know, file a 337 and a cg for changing the toilet paper holder in the head. Roots of my attraction for LSA.
Oh, if I can go really hog wild, add decathalon type spades for akro.
And try some katmai type canards for boonyhopping. Should make it climb like a balloon. Also removable for akro, I don't think you could manage a competition spin with them on.
Did I mention vortex generators?
