If you do join standby for an onslaught of "are all these mods all legal", how dare you defile the "sanctity" of an original 170.

You will need a thick skin to come out the other side unscathed !!

I wouldn't bother, between Barnstormers and here anyone looking for a 170 will see it.

Do you know which cowl that is? I would love to change mine out to something like that!

The 170 association forum is the BEST place to go to get information on keeping these great planes flying. Not much back country focus, but to be honest a very large majority of 170's are flown by people like myself who don't fly back country (or haven't yet). There are a couple folks who might rub some people the wrong way, but overall it is a great community who supports other 170 owners. Don't let the negative comment at this forum bias you too much.

If you want to sell a 170 I'd recommend getting it on the 170 facebook page and the 170 association forum.

I think it looks great. The lack of blisters for the front cylinders makes it looks very clean. My friend has the STC for a C-170 O-360 conversion carbon cowl and it looks similar. Hopefully you have a list of potential buyers, surprised this has lasted so long.

I think this one has the C-145 still, if you're implying it has a 360 conversion.

Even better, Is there an STC or field approval in your logs? That would be a cool upgrade when I do my motor.... thanks!
