I don't know about that, suffering ain't too good even without any contemplation. Not that I've ever had to suffer much.
Even the really poor folks in our country have it pretty good compared to some 3rd world places.

I think I had in mind the physical rather than the emotional. I probably have opinions about both but I'm not sure you can put a measure on the latter. One man's poor is another mans plenty I think. The older I get the more sure I am that life is primarily about one's relationships. When dying of cancer most folks want to visit with the people they love, not the stuff they own. But, I ain't dying yet so put me down for more stuff for sure.
