Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Your name came up today Gump, I met a guy named Jerry (forgot his last name) at the show who has 28,000 hours in a Beaver on floats out of Ketchican, I asked him if he happened to know you, he said no, but he had heard your name before.

Whew! At least it wasn't some kid walking up to me in an Eskimo village and asking, "Are you my daddy?"

I don't know many Southeast guys. My corner of the state was a long ways away. I was going to fly for Harris Air down in Sitka when Yute Air started to self destruct, but losing my medical killed that deal.

I think many who don't live or haven't traveled much in AK don't realize how big the state is. We say Nome and Kotzebue in the same sentence like they're right next door to one another, but that's like saying Fort Collins and Casper are right next door. And Nome is farther from Ketchikan than Denver is from Cleveland.

Re: the Spartan--looked at an all-polished one at OSH last year--gorgeous airplane--looked like a whole lot of work to keep it looking that way. True labor of love, I would think.
