Re: Gyrocopter on the capital lawn

The death penalty for an airspace violation? How many folks are gonna get hurt when you shoot his silly ass down, and/or the bullets that miss start falling? They throw up TFRs pretty much on a whim these days, are we gonna start shooting down those violators as well?

Cervantes would've had a field day with this whole episode.

DCO-65 and I dispatched one of the bastards today before he could assault anyone else's fine sensibilities.

Last I saw on the news tonite, poor Rocinante was loaded on a trailer, being hauled off by the White House Police.

Re: Gyrocopter on the capital lawn

This is one of the aviation-themed websites I follow regularly. The cartoonist, Wes Oleszewski is an Embry Riddle grad (don't hold that against him) who started drawing cartoons for his friends when he was a kid shooting ants "into space" in his model rockets. Eventually, his main character, Klyde Morris, emerged and most of the cartoons have revolved around aviation's only corporate pilot ant. His commentary on General Aviation, Regional and Major Airlines, and the space industry is DEAD ON and often hilarious. These are his cartoons since the gyrocopter attack on our wonderful country!

Incidentally, Klyde has been around for a long time and has quite a following in certain aviation-geek circles. Enough of a following that a stuffed Klyde Morris plushie went into space with the first Virgin Galactic space flight!
