Awesome. Just... awesome. I'd be a little intimidated as the camera guy. I hope everything was locked down.

Now I remember Graham saying he saw those guys when dead-heading back from one of his patrol runs. I still don't know how they all deal with the wake. Thanks for sharing though!

Wake vortices aren't fully formed until a few hundred feet or so behind an aircraft, and lower AOA produces less powerful vortices. At those distances, directly behinds the place to be. Think aerial refueling.

Re: How close do you want me?

Ok ZZzz. Shut her down. What the hell just happened? This a photo shoot of two military aircraft flying the same direction. Nothing in common with anything other than professional formation flying.

Re: How close do you want me?

Gump and I were doing formation flying one time. He did not know it. I stayed about 200 ft above and 400 ft behind. That is close enough for me.

Re: How close do you want me?

looks like one of those "field of view" photos...look how big the clouds look in the really close pic, versus how small they look when he's farther away.

Wont comment on the formation flying, as I haven't had enough to drinky

I'm glad you said something Zzz, cause for a moment there I thought I was back in the '60's.

Re: How close do you want me?

I hope nothing comes out the back of the camera aircraft and goes in to those two big square garbage cans under the radome. FOD!
Is that a Saab Fighter?
