Yeah, I guess from the comments I apparently forgot to qualify that I haven't flown at sea level for quite a while. My numbers are based on density altitudes of 6000 to 10,000 feet. At that altitude 1200 feet IS a short strip for a 180, and even with 1500 hours in my particular 180 I would never assume that I wouldn't bounce another landing. It's only been 350 since I bounced the last one. Of course, when the strip is really short, I'm going to drag it in the last few feet and land tailfirst so that a bounce is not possible. Lower Loon and Soldier Bar come to mind, but they can be approached in level flight.
