Iditarod

Another thread mentioned possibly flying support for the Iditarod, that must be an experience. I'm betting there might be one or two within the BCP community who have done this, what was it like ?

Re: Iditarod

I've never flown support for the Iditarod, but one winter I flew support for the Yukon Quest, which is a no joke wilderness dog race, vs the Iditarod "stage race".

This year, the Iditarod start is moving to Fairbanks. Management wasn't comfortable with the bare ground near Rhone......which has been there virtually every year. Lots of rookie mushers this year, though.
