I seem to recall that the original PA-20-125 & 135 have fewer ribs in the wings than the PA-22-150/160, & maybe less than the PA-22-125/135 also. I'm sure they're still plenty strong enough, and should weigh just a bit less. So maybe the ultimate Pacer would be a stripped-down original PA-20 with a 150 or 160. What kind of approval basis is out there for that combo? I know a guy that had one with a 150 but never got to see the logbooks, he didn't have it for long & wasn't real big on understanding airplane paperwork anyway so no help there.
