30% chance of rain on friday. That's better than before of 30% with chance of thunderstorms.
only 20% on saturday with relatively light winds.
Sunday looks even better.

Looking pretty good friday and sunday on the wet side of the state.

Let's hope it continues to improve or stay the same.

Re: Minam Lodge, Oregon airlift

Good Morning All,

Well, as Rob said the computers are all over the place, but I just flew into Minam this morning and then got back and looked at the computer weather again and it's a GO...We have a chance of rain/snow on both Friday and Saturday (30% & 20%) with Sunday looking good. On Saturday the winds are suppose to get up to 10-15, so we may not want to stay in the canyon as long as we normally do.

The 20' wide strip is in good shape for both trikes and tailwheels, and be aware and stay out of the small drainage ditch on the westside of the runway. We'll go over this and a few other issues at the briefing at 8:30 AM (PDT) at the Joseph Airport and then get the show on the road. There is 100 LL at Joseph airport self server. Call me if you have any questions and fly safe!! Again, whether you're able to make it or not, your willingness to participate is very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Re: Minam Lodge, Oregon airlift

Unfortunately I am going to have to scratch. Last night I was informed that I am required to report for jury duty 8:30 am Friday. If the the lottery works right and the weather holds I may be able to show Saturday. It is only about a 30 minute flight for me. Good luck all and hope to see you.

Bill

Good luck and fly safe. I wish we didn't live so far away, we would love to come and I'm sure the 206 would find it's way in all by itself. Say "Hi" to Mick and take some pictures and post them for those of us that can't make it.
Prayers for all that participate ...stay safe. :D

The BIG W (work) got in the way. Unable to find anyone to fill my weekend shifts.. Raining and then sun here in Pendleton. Wind is the normal 5 to 10 knots. Good luck and hope for no snow. Will try to make the next airlift.

Willie,

Heck, I didn't know that was you...You bet I'll take some photos and get them to you or post them if I can figure it out. And I can guarentee you that your 206 would find it's way in there in a heart beat. It's probably been in there more than my ole bird.

You take care fellow and I'll for sure say hello to Mick for you! Thanks for your thoughts.

Cheers,

Bill

Re: Minam Lodge, Oregon airlift

Hoping to leave well before noon tomorrow.

Just one question, the barbecue at the lodge Saturday and Sunday breakfast, are those hosted by the lodge or are we bringing food in for those, ala, pot luck style?

I'm planning to leave between 3 and 4. Bryan is coming in his Maule as well. We will try to make Joseph friday evening, if not we will stay with friends in Hermiston and get up early Saturday. I hope we can get over and not have to take the gorge.
