Motorcitymaule is missing

From what I have heard he left yesterday from Durango and was going to go to Animas to get gas then to Nokai Dome. When he did not return in the evening he was reported missing. He was the only person in the missing plane, a 2004 M7 Maule, N235WT.

There are no ELT signals in the area. He has not been found yet.

Did he talk to any of you saying where he was going? Have any of you suggested locations for him in the area recently that he may have been going to check out?

If you have any information that you think may be helpful please call me at 8Ol 455-527l and I will get word to the officials.

Thats not good.

It sounded like he was going to visit some of the same places that I did a few weeks ago. Hopefully he just landed somewhere and his plane would not re-start. Have you gotten ahold of anyone in Moab and asked them to look around. The FBO there has some pilots who are very experienced with the area, if anyone can find him it would probably be those guys.

Yes and at least one other person tried before me. No sign of him there.

I just got back from looking. He has been wanting to go to Nokai, So I went out there this morning. Checking Bluff, Mex. Hat and Nokai.

Coming back, I flew the river just to make sure he didn't get tangled in any power lines.

The weather wasn't that great yesterday, little blustery, So I really wouldn't expect him too far off course. But maybe a bad landing with a flat tire, or stuck in the sand.

Maybe up around Radium King/Fry Canyon.

But I doubt that he has much for survival or comfort.

We'll just keep or fingers crossed, and hope to hear from him today.

Hello All

They have seen where Petar has been trying to make cell phone calls as late as 11 AM today. Now they are trying to figure where he is calling from.

That's all I know, but atleast we know he is alive, and will live to fly again.

Correction

Pete's wife just called e and said that the calls that they were seeing were her trying to get him. But they do think they have one from him from around 11 last night.

We'll keep hoping for the best.

News Flash

Pete's wife just called me again.

Lockhead Martin just called her and said that they found the plane, Pete is with it, and presumed to be OK.

Now they will work on getting him out of there.

Hope he's not too banged up so we can tease the shit out of him, and make him feel worse than he does now.

Good time to talk with him about survival gear.

Don't think he's been paying much attention to that.

Just heard, he is alive!

His plane was spotted on a sand bar and he is walking around near the plane. A helicopter is en route to pick him up.

Edited to remove the part of the report that was not true.

Damn, he's a lucky SOB.

Its good to hear that he is OK. He will have to give us the whole story in detail after his helicopter ride.
