I've been looking for your strip on Google and Bing maps. Is it just east of Goldmiller Rd southeast of Gerrardstown? I see something on Bing that might fit your description. A housing development to the west across the road.

180 Marty, that sounds like it. I'll have to look it up. Last time I checked it wasn't updated since I last cleared the approaches. Good find. People that know where I am have trouble.

One other landmark----a small pond across the road off the west end of the strip. I bet the Ohio Bushpilot gang would like your place and they could walk across the road and pick apples at the orchard. There's no hangar in the picture, are you going to build and do you live in one of the close by homes?

Hangar and home are both south of the strip a couple hundred yards. I'd love to have a little fly in sometime. Wish I had caught the Ohio guys when they were down. Maybee next time.

260 Driver, that would be great. Anytime you wanna stop by just let me know. I'm sure I could learn quite a bit from you as well. The maule is fairly new too me. Everyone around here called me crazy buying this as my first TD.

screw all your neighbors... I get all sorts of shit from people here at my So Cal airport about my big tires..I just ignore them or tell them about the places I've been that they can't go to ...mostly it's dirt roads and dry lake beds and the like... Enjoy your maule, it's a way better performer than most....

I'd rather be out west but gotta live where the work is. Heck, there is some great scenery here and the Ohio guys have proven that backcountry style flying is possible. Welcome to the east!

Best,
