Pacific Northwest Adventuring

Flew around Oregon, Washington and British Columbia looking for adventure. The weather was perfect and we had a great mix of adventure, disconnecting from the grind and true relaxation.

This is my first real video edit, so I'm definitely looking for feedback on it.

Re: Pacific Northwest Adventuring

Great video. I thought you did a nice job for your first one. I'm still threatening to do my first.

It would be fun to get the narrative or trip report for all of those places...

Re: Pacific Northwest Adventuring

I really enjoyed the various POV's, combined with the still shots and the sped up/time lapse shots. It really mixed it up and kept it interesting, as opposed to the same POV all the time. A video that people who wonder why we fly should be forced (or asked I guess) to watch! Nice beach landing, looked like a great trip!

That was so awesome, Jake! Looks like an amazing trip. Nice work!

I really enjoyed seeing all the footage of what you guys were up to on the ground. The travelogue style really takes it to the next level for me. Sweet! =D>

When was this? Was it one trip, or a composite of several outings? It is a gloomy day on the Salish Sea today, but I'm itching for even one small piece of the fun presented in your mash-up video. Thanks for getting me excited about what is to come!

Re: Pacific Northwest Adventuring

Excellent video, Scolopax! I must admit that I usually skip through the videos people post here, but I watched this one start-to-end -- even rewound & took a second look at some of it! I haven't done any flying to speak of in BC (yet), but I recognized a couple places early on-- looks like Spiden Island (aka Safari Island) at about :40, and of course Stuart Island at about 1:00. Don't know how many days your trip was, but it looks like you packed a lot of fun into it!

Re: Pacific Northwest Adventuring

Great video, I especially liked the run into Skookumchuck and back out. Robin and 175 Magnum dropped a few more trees there, but I wouldn't mind burning another tank of gas in the chain saw.

High tide at Nootka Island, but with your ABW who cares.

Re: Pacific Northwest Adventuring

Very nice! Need a trip report to go along with it! Some very cool looking places! My only suggestion would be to put your labels in white... sometimes it was hard for me to read the names, titles in black.

Looking forward for more!

Excellent work! Right when I was asking myself "I wonder where he is?" a subtitle would pop up! I liked Skookumchuck too. What a cool strip.
