I think a lot of people don't realize just how important placards are.
The Cessna 180 TCDS print-out I have is 22 pages long--
a full seven pages of that is devoted solely to required placards!
I'm lucky, it only calls out 3 sentences as required for my 1953 model.
The later the airplane, the more placarding required.
I bet there's a lot of C180's flying out there that are technically unairworthy,
due to a lack of the required placards.
I recently upgraded my panel with a new placard,
which I printed out on my printer using standard paper.
Using minimum-allowable sized lettering (1/10"), it's about 6" x 3/4".
The first 2 lines are required by TCDS,
the 3rd is required by AD 90-21-08.
