RanchPilot, I love this panel. If I still had my cub I would make it like this.

This is my favorite so far. Clean, Uncluttered, and appears to be Ergonomically Perfect.

I have the GTN-750 and it would have worked perfect at the top of your stack.

Oh man, I'm kicking myself for not putting it in. When I redo the panel, I won't hold back next time :)

Re: Show us your Panel !

I see the option for electro-luminescent lighting around the edge of some of the old steam gauges. Aside from esthetic preference...is there any reason to choose red over blue over green ? My Jeep Cherokee Overlander has weird white dials during the day that turn green at night..kinda cool.

Aviation I am sure is different. Is red better for maintaining night vision or ??

Re: Show us your Panel !

For me, my eyes retain night vision best with red. Green is pretty good as well, but if I look at blue I seem to lose more then with the other colors.

Re: Show us your Panel !

The rods in our eyes that make up most of our night vision are several times more sensitive to blue light than red. This means that we can see much lower levels of blue light, but that it can more easily damage our night vision if too bright. So if you go with blue, make sure you have a good dimmer switch.

Yep. The GTN 750 is the way to go and looks great in your panel. I will remember that for my next upgrade.

Show us your Panel !

55 Cessna 170B

Pretty dated/stock besides the UBG-16 and iFly GPS on the right side.

This was before Cessna figured out the six pack configuration with a center stack for the radios. Instead everything is scattered on the panel. Makes for a weird scan but I'm used to it.

One plus is that this is before they made the windshield smaller and panel taller, so forward visibility is stellar!

Here is the panel in our '77 Cessna A185F:

I hope these post... still getting used to the format here! At some point, I would love to see us get these two panels aligned - Garmin 500/600 with GTN750 and GTN650 (2nd comm). It would make going back and forth even easier (c:
