Chicken
Congratulations!!!!! You did what you planned and had to have been on sched! I have to say I was skeptical about your timetable at first, but after the first week, I was thinking it might be possible. I'm taking my hat off to you. Great story. Thanks for sharing.

Great job chickenair! Thanks for sharing your journey on this project. I really enjoyed seeing your bird come together. I hope you have many years of enjoyment flying her.

Re: Sportsman 2+2

Chickenair, when I met you, you were having a helluva time trying to file your international e-flight plan. I assume that you finally managed to satisfy the electronic authorities? Or did you just turn the transponder & lights off and keep it below the Canadian radar?

Re: Sportsman 2+2

Well hotrod150 I guess I didn't tell that story here.....actually I did, but that post seems to not be here??? I especially thanked you for stopping by and appoligized for not being able to B.S. with you a bit? Wonder where it went. But since you were a witness as to what I was going through and it was the reason I didn't get to BS with you. Here's how it went. I finally got it filed and got my confirmation #. Left the states just fine. Whidby Is handed me off to Victoria, BC who handed me off to Abbortsford, BC where we went thru customs. When I got to Whitehorse, YT I was late according to the plan I filed. So I called Northway to ammend it. The agent in Northway said I didn't exist in the system  Yea, there was a big shock  He looked one day back and one day forward and said I wasn't there. He said you will have to find a computer and re-file. I said I have a confirmation #. He said he can't look it up because their 2 systems don't work together?? Your going to have to re-file for tomorrow. I said It's 1730 in Whitehorse, everything is closed I don't have anything but an airplane to get around in, that's not going to happen. Either I can fly in to Northway and go thru Customs like the good US Citizen I'm trying to be, or I scud run to the house. He asked how soon I could be there. I told him and he said he would wait for me. He checked us thru Customs and filled out a Non-Compliance form for E-afis. So I don't know if I've heard the last of it or not. According to him you get 3 strikes with E-Afis before you get a fine. But this shouldn't even be a strike as I HAVE a confirmation # Which I included with the non-compliance form and a nice note
