Sorry I've neglected the forum for a little while, things got real busy at work.
Anyway I am finally situated at work where I can take a little time off and bring the 108 over to GA for CA, so I thought I would bump this thread up again.
Looks like legaly you can only take half the gas and half the oil. You can legally give instruction in your plane and just charge for half the expences. If the plane gets bent up while giving the dual what would the insurance guy say.
If you waited tell March 5th you can stop at cave man. If you can wait tell June, I would fly to LA, park the plane, fly with you then take a comercial home. Cheaper than a trip to Disney Land.
As a CFI on a part 61 training flight with a aircraft that is under it's 100hr I could charge for the fuel, plane and myself if I wanted to.
True. Apparently legally. Whatever the market will bare....... One thing that hurts the desirability/value of your 'product' is the need to purchase some form of transportation on the other leg of the trip-if the 'instructee' isn't also relocating......
Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process... With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece). Success has many fathers...... Failure is an orphan.
To be honest, doesn't matter much to me, I'd love to fly it for the cost of fuel. I keep trying to find anything around here to fly for the price of fuel and even put my A&P to work in trade just to get some flying in...no luck. I just started this new job, so I don't have vacation time yet, only a sick day or two that I could probably burn, or maybe take a day or two without pay...but as it goes with flying XC, you never know what days work for anything. So not sure I could do this with ya anyway. Saving my money back up to buy another Stinson or a Pacer...hopefully one I can do my IR in. Still trying to build time to get my Commercial, and hopefully one day be a tailwheel CFI as well with my own plane.
