Having just competed in my very first STOL event, I'm even more impressed by what those guys can pull off. I scratched by a few inches once and then didn't manage to get my maule stopped for 350 feet on the second one!

Some excellent work in that video.

I have a question about the JUST pilot's over-rotation technique, what's he shooting for with that (other than the obvious "a shorter take-off!)? It's unique for sure!

Wow, what a great video! Really neat seeing all those guys there and the reactions of the crowds, too. All they were missing was a couple of smoke bombs... hehehe :D :D

What an awesome video! STOL aircraft is something any non aviation person can really understand. It's a great way to introduce our unique part of flight to potential new pilots and fans.
