Darn it Emmet! I was hoping my post wouldn't come off sounding like I was saying the S-7 flies like an ultralight. I am 100% in agreement with you on that!! I have owned a couple of UL over the years and the S-7 is definitely a plane. I really didn't know how else to desribe the flying qualities of the S-7 to a person that normally flies a 172 type aircraft. More of a sports car vs. pickup comparison I guess. It has got to be the sweetest flying plane I have flown.....well, I did fly a Murphy Rebel that I would put into the same catagory....just different since it was a heavier aircraft, flew like it was on rails.

No WW, I get it totally, that's why I say you gotta just go fly it. It's changes perceptions, for sure, and negates the need to try and "describe it"! You know first hand!

Not sure about the Super Legend, but I just swapped my 26" ABW's for 29"s that a guy had on a Legend cub. After spending a day with him, flying, both comparing notes, speeds (cruise and slow flight), COSTs, etc, he's probably now going to sell his Legend and have a guy I referred him too build him a brand new S-7S with the new long tanks, larger panel, new aero-servo ailerons, etc. for LESS than his Legend cost used. Granted, it will be registered E-LSA, but he gets to make it how he wants it...exactly how he want's it.

Of course, I am biased I guess. But...



But it won't look like a Cub! The CubClone companies are really pushing that obviously, the Savage Cub/S-7 clone is shameless in that regard!
