This looks awesome Zane. You are like the Marty Stouffer of Backcountry Aviation footage. Documenting these rare birds in their natural habitat.

And I know he's got a sweater vacuum packed and ready for the red carpet. Nice work Zaner Banāner!

Re: Teaser: High Sierra - A backcountry flying movie

Looks like someone got their video up on BarnStormers from the High Sierra fly in. Here's the December flier with it highlighted.

I hadn't seen this specific video yet, great one. May have missed it in the postings but great camera work.

Re: Teaser: High Sierra - A backcountry flying movie

Oh geez... I had someone this morning tell me they thought that was my "rough" footage on the Barnstormers video pick, not to take anything away from that guy's video, he did a nice job. Need a different name for the movie, I guess, or need to not use open source footage.

Maybe you need to get the "real deal" finished up before you get poached again :? You need some trademarked footage or closed source (?) footage for next year!

Re: Teaser: High Sierra - A backcountry flying movie

The bad news: The full length feature I had hoped to produce never came to fruition. There was much more to shoot but unfortunately Aktahoe1 and I couldn't quite made the scheduling work, and it was certainly more my issue than his. He's always ready to fly.

The good news: I've been jammin' this last week to put together HIGH S13RRA: The Short Film. It will be made up of footage I collected while at the fly-in last year. It's currently at 9 minutes 50 seconds, so that should get you through breakfast.

Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow morning (or maybe Tuesday.)

Very nice Zane! And I finally saw my plane! Of all the pics taken, somehow I didn't make any. Guess I parked too far from the action, but at least I was out of the thick dust. Maybe I'll have better luck this year!
