I used my crane truck until now. This year I engineered a system in my tent hangar to hang the airplane from the tent frame with a spreader, and a web of cables and pulleys. Very pleased with the result.

Re: Upgraded my bottle jack

Wow, pretty fancy rigging! Several years ago, I had a 17 ton Terex boom truck, with a wireless remote control, and I used it to fold my wings back on the S-7 (before I got skis, and would just quit flying when the snow hit #-o ), it made it a one man job, easy peasy.

Just yesterday, I used my mini excavator for the first time to maneuver it's trailer out of the hangar, usually I use the tractor with a front hitch, which I thought was the ultimate. But the miniX, will be my method from now on. The things are incredibly handy, and can pick an amazing amount of weight for their size, but it's the maneuverability and fineness of the controls that impresses me, using one to pick an airplane makes sense to me. I've only had mine for a year and am still discovering all it can do =D>

Impressed with the tent hangar, I see more of them around, didn't know they had that structural strength. Are those just concrete highway dividers to raise it a couple feet?

Now you have the means to dig that foundation for that hangar you NEED!
Super sweet and very envious. Bobcats are ‘smile’ makers. Never see anyone with a frown operating one.
