"Vodka Burner" HAHAHAHAHAHAH Good stuff.
I remember seeing tower footage years ago of a Mexican 727 taking off out of DEN that looked about the same. My dad also told stories of taking off out of the old Stapleton Airport in WAL 727's with similar performance. Something about screaming over Quebec St on the west side of the airport praying that one of the 3 didn't quit.

A question for the big airplane drivers: would ground effect be too much control problems or is power to weight always enough to leap tall buildings in a single bound? WWII bomber pilots used low ground effect.
Was this Russian just showing off? Big aircraft are optical illusions. I flew pipeline under B -52s at Shreveport Barksdale AFB. They looked really close, low, and slow out there on final. They weren't.
