Video: Judith River Flight

Flying the Judith River in Montana this weekend with BTV. The video is just a shadow of how pretty it actually was.

That is absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed the "follow the leader" perspective. It was a treat to see the shadows of both aircraft in some of the footage. I found myself banking in my chair as I watched the video - good job sucking me in. I'm not familiar with the Judith River - where in Montana is it located?

Hahaha, I chair-banked too!

I literally could watch that video all day long. Very satisfying experience. Good work!

Re: Video: Judith River Flight

Thanks guys. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm a chair-banker myself, so I consider it to be the highest form of compliment for a flying video! We had some dodgy weather and I fought camera problems all weekend, so I was pretty happy when I got home and realized I had captured some of this footage.

The Judith is a tributary of the Missouri in north-central Montana. Slightly north and west of Lewistown, and only about 15 miles outside of Winifred where we had the fly-in. We meant to spend the weekend flying the Missouri Breaks, but it was weathered in part of the time and once we found the Judith we were plenty happy.

It was great to be able to watch that this morning since flying weather here in Butte is non-existent today. It is snowing and everything is white.
