So the dude in the "flying" chair surrounded by multiple blades of whirling death is wearing ZERO protective gear but the dude in "control" of his fate has goggles on, I see Darwin's theory proven once again !!!!!!!

Many years ago I was handed a set of plans for an ultralight legal helicopter, and told that there were a few of them already flying and they worked very well. I thought about building one, then I realized that the turbocharged chainsaw engine they were using had a TBO of 25 hours, and I remembered how much trouble I had with 2-stroke motorcycles when I was younger, and forgot about the whole project.

What do you mean complete lack? He had a what looked like a ratchet strap holding him on. Haha. I'm amazed at the lack of a seat belt on quite a few of those.

If you look at the crimped down ends, and the colors of the structure " pipes" on the first "chopper", I'm pretty sure that a swing set was the donor !

I of two minds on the lack of seat belts; is better to be "belted in" while the flying machine flails itself to death or take your chances get "thrown clear" of the carnage when the laws of gravity win again. How does that saying go again, 6 in 1, 1/2 dozen the other, either way I suspect the end result is similar !!!!

The safest place to be when a helicopter crashes and comes apart is...in the helicopter! The energy of all those parts when they go flying outward is unbelievable.
