Where I've flown map. Who else does this?

Want to share with us??

This is along the line of the BCP member and restaurant thread. I leave notes on mine to remind me of great places.

I think I will change it some and put exclamation points by stuff pilot friends really should look at.

I have not updated for awhile. The last few nights I have been. I still have more to go. Got to get the Mexico stuff on the map.

I have impressed myself with the places I have been since October 2006 and 1180 hours in the Maule seat. Not bad for a recreational pilot I guess. I have met some of the coolest people too. I feel very lucky!!

I quit updating mine, it was running real slow because I had too many locations... It also bugged me I couldn't have them all on one map, it split the locations onto 2 pages... It's a cool idea though.

I really enjoyed this thread: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=2809

It kinda fell off though. I keep my logbook in digital format, I've always thought it would be cool to plot the locations on a map automatically. I bet some of the digital logbook products do.

Also found this tutorial for those interested: viewtopic.php?t=2843

That was a good thread Zzz. I can log in flightprep but I can't share it easy. That's what I like about google maps. Easy to share. Rob my google maps seems to work pretty good, if I throw to many changes it spazzes out. I just save, log out, then log back in and all good. As I get more places I may experience what happened to you. Fun for now.

I got me a Nat Geo map of the US and most of Canada and Mexico 2' X 3' on the wall of my office. Colored stick pins poked in map for the places I've flown. Its low tech but more fun to look at for every one stopping in than logging on to a site. I will move it to the hangar when it becomes more impressive than my hangar's Wall of Shame of broken airplane parts.

I've got one going. When I get on my laptop this weekend, I'll dig it out and post.

I stuck a JN5-A Jet Nav Chart to a piece of 1/4" MDF out in the hangar, and have some pushpins scattered around.
It gets viewed by most pilots who stop by... guess we're all drawn to charts!

I am on page 2 now. Surely there must be a way to keep them all on one page???

Haven't spent much time East of the Mississippi  :D These maps are a good reminder as to where I've been, and most of all, for what reason! Most of the places I've been outside of California are work related. Even though I wish I could have visited every one of them in my own airplane on my own time, the truth is, I would have never seen 90% of the blue marks on the map.

Haven't updated in a while, a few new spots in CA but I do alot of local flying...for one reason or another...

Can you put hundreds of airports all on 1 page?
