Well as I see it YOU sir are very lucky; park the go-cart/airplane or what ever it's called, go buy yourself a lottery and get a "proper" airplane before this thing kills YOU

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention...I'll never touch that damn thing again. I have a Stinson 108 and it works fine. That LS is a FKN death trap

Congrats on surviving with only a small reminder of the "deal" you must have made in that last millisecond. And for handling it so that the kids and family dog think it was "nothing mom, just another day with dad".

I Concur!
I learned this lesson the hard way years ago when I was much younger. My rule is; if it doesn't have an aircraft engine on it, or its put together with pop rivets "I don't get in it".

Plenty of guys been killed in "real" airplanes too, and plenty of ultralight-flying fellas gonna die of old age. It's almost as if it's something else...

Not sure about "real"
But so far my rule has worked for me : )
I may cash in tomorrow, but it won't be behind a Briggs & Stratton : )

Hundreds of hours of ultralight time starting in early eighties and I have never flown behind or ever seen an ultralight powered by a Briggs and Stratton.

I was thinking that was a Polaris snowmachine motor(maybe a 600). But I could see that as a king of ski plane for farting around. Is there a picture of the thing as an aircraft?

Calling that POS a go cart is just wrong. Go carts are awesome. Need to find a better name. I’m sure the all the members of the Mensa Society on here will chime in.

Re: Would this be considered an airplane or go cart?

Love the input. It’s cracking me up. I’ll try to find a picture of it put together. Honestly I like the engine. It’s basically a snow machine engine. Really, the issue with that thing is the lack of workmanship when it was put together. I’d like to build a 2 place tailtragger based off my Stinson fuselage from scratch and use that engine on it.
