I spoke with him over the phone a couple weeks ago about all this. He is the man. We discussed the options. I won't say what he said about the Savage axles and the current wheels I'm running, but I agree with everything he said. I'll be running Matco's soon. I have 29" Airstreaks on the way! \:D/

Indeed, and only 1.5 hr drive for me!

But, my kit came with the Grove brakes RANS was using back then, and they were OK when on the 26's but pretty iffy on the 29's. Problem is I can't go with dual's as it would create a problem with how my Datum skis retract. It turns out Grove has a larger piston in the same size housing, so I switched to that and it worked real good with no interference to the skis and no other changes required. More then adequate (but just that, adequate, not as good as a pumped up set of duals I'm guessing) especially so when I switch to my winter time 6:00's, then they are real powerful.

I also changed out my 1/4" poly lines.....to 1/8" poly ones. Lighter, more flexible, less fluid, less expansion then the 1/4" so more solid brakes, seems to work but I made that change the same time I went with the bigger piston so who knows.
