Editi- well I guess my link isn't working either, when you get to the barnstormers page, type in Stinson and search

IF the paperwork's complete and in order for those non-STC mods (yokes, am/fm cassette, panel, etc.), that looks like a nice Stinson. The other thing I'd be really leary about would be that he's saying "epoxy top coat" on the fabric...if that's really so, then it's a totally non legal fabric job.......no getting around that one. Nice looking plane, but one that would definately warrant some closer looking.

I think you have the wrong plane, not the one of my friends. I'll bet the first guy that looks at it will buy it, which a fellow will be looking at it soon.

I'll bet you're right, Brian. I looked at the one that popped up on the link provided....and now that I look again, I see your add as well. The one I commented on is from Canada. I'd love to see some pics of the one your friend has for sale.

Congrats Garth, you got one heck of buy there. You are going to love flying a Stinson. You might be able to pay for gas with a few side bets on takeoffs versus some Cessna drivers. Way to go!

I didn't realize EDO 2440's were approved on the Stinsons. Looks like a nice setup, and should perform really well.
Are you based right in Winnipeg?

I'm not familiar with the 2440's stc - I know it's not very popular.
I'm north of the city - right next to a small airport called St. Andrews (CYAV)
My float flying will primarily be in the Whiteshell - it is a provincial park on the Manitoba / Ontario border with hundreds of lakes.
