170 website not working?
Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?
As a tangent to the original question...anyone know why the 170 site is (still) down? Did everyone stop paying their dues?
And I am going through withdrawals - but I am more productive at work now

When installing the springs try putting washers between the spring coils to expand the spring, makes it alot easier to install. also run a wire threw the washers so you dont end up dropping them. The same part numbers also fit the 1953 to 1954 Cessna 180, at least thats what I was told. Any one know differant.

Buzz, thanks for posting the photo, the tape measure showing the length of the springs was a great idea. Makes it easier for a guy to come up with "owner fabricated parts" if he so desires.

Somebody must have disagreed with George, and he shut the site down to show him who's boss!
