I know that there's some previous discussion on this topic but I couldn't find that forum again.

I'm curious if anyone has seen these seats before and can identify what they are and how they install. They came as an additional set along with the typical 2nd row bench seat and 3rd row kids seat in my 185. They don't seem to fit the contour of the side wall anywhere aft of the pilot/co-pilot seats.

Anyone familiar?

Those are stock seaplane jump seats. I'm interested in them for a project Im working on if you want to sell em.

In the top photo above the forward attach point is for a nut plate in the door post and the aft goes to the nut plate where the earlier bench seat attached to the side wall. I think your bench seat attaches to the floor but if it attaches to the side wall it would be that point. You need to use these jump seats if you use the third row bench as they are shorter front to back and allow for leg room for the third row plus have lower backs for egress.

Thanks for the info Tim. I do have the floor mount bench seat in the second row. The third row bench is typically occupied by my 12 year old son or another young flexible kid who fits in there just fine and enters through the baggage door. At 120 pound limit in the 3rd row, anyone that is less than 120 pounds will most likely not mind climbing through that baggage door. There are no holes in the interior plastic trim panels for these alternate jump seats to mount to so it wasn't obvious how they mounted.

I hate to get rid of airplane configuration options so I'd ultimately like to hang on to these. However if you need them to get your project in the air or at least a couple more passengers in the air, I could loan them to you until you found a pair of your own.
