I was fortunate to get to see this plane and some of their other work a few days ago. The quality, precision, attention to detail, and overall magnitude of the repairs they perform at ACSR is extremely understated. Their humbleness, and modesty are admirable in the world we live in. When you look at the overall picture it seems very overwhelming, but like Rich said, ya gotta take it one piece at a time. I hope none of us ever need their services, but it’s good to know there are still craftsmen like them in the world.

Sorry I’ve been MIA, a busy few months on other projects.

The Selkirk cowlings are of the highest quality, complete with cowl flaps and they fit exceptionally well with very little trimming.

Trophy Wife is to the stage where it’s time to put it together and then where do
You store it…..

In the meantime, I’ve made two trips to Utah over the last two months to welcome two trophy Grandaughters, 14th and 15th overall. Airplanes are nice, but family and friends are eternal….

Saige is a great name, it goes well with her mother’s, Paige.


My daughters make their blessing dresses, including the beautiful booties, it’s one thing to shear, bend and pound rivets, but that’s next level in my book.



Johanna is a family name, my Great Grand parents came with their children from Germany in 1923. I’m thankful for sacrifices made to allow me the privilege of trying to influence the little ones here.



Oops, forgot this was about airplanes, gosh I love flying Cessna’s in Western Montana, It borders Idaho…. Can’t wait till the little ones can appreciate fully this beautiful world.

Blessed indeed, surrounded by Trophies!
Where does the time go? Nice to tent camp with the newborns, get their little ears used to (true) flying stories.


We got sidetracked a little bit with Spencer’s Amazing 185, but with the completion of that Wagon, time to put Trophy Wife together.





Engine is freshly overhauled with new cylinders, it wouldn’t have looked right without doing the baffling as well.






You can start to tell it’s an aircraft when the tail goes on…



It truly becomes an airplane once the wings go on!



The planes loved to be stored inside, but it’s like the first breath of life outside the womb when they see the light of day. That first sound or engine start is heavenly music to the ears, does anything compare to the purring of a newborn?





It’s nice when things happen like they’re supposed to. Trophy Wife is ready to fly, to stretch her wings once again.
