Awe man! Glad they are having it again but wish it had been advertised a day earlier. Unfortunately my bid for May's schedule is already in and this is the one weekend I didn't ask to have off.

Hey Cory, you and your family will be missed. Maybe you could trade trips with a coworker? This year's fly-in is shaping up to be a great one. The band has been booked and Saturday night's fireworks have been planned.

Reconsider?

Man, I wish I could. I got my schedule yesterday and, since that was the only weekend I gave up, half my months work is over it which would be impossible to move elsewhere. Oh well. Next year. Have a great time and I'll look forward to seeing all the pics!

Cory - You will be missed.

That's right, Fruita offers world class mountain biking, which is only a few miles away from Mack. If we have a few people that are interested in biking, I am sure that we can set up a truck for transport on Saturday or Sunday morning. Anyone else interested?

For those of you who desire a bed with a roof, our local (Fruita, CO) Laquita Inn will be offering a Fat Tire special for the weekend ($94+tax.) They have set a group of 10 rooms aside until May 6th, so reserve early!

Make sure that you mention "Mack Mesa Fat Tire Jamboree Special" to get the discount.

I'll be in Fort Collins that weekend, what's a good route from KFNL over that direction?

I am way interested, there's also some epic loops at Rabbit Valley to the west. No chance of me stuffing my bikes into the 150, I might look into a rental from one of the shops in Fruita.

From FNL, Rollins Pass is the standard route. If weather is really good following I-70 over the Divide is nice. I'll be heading over Rollins Pass early on Friday, but likely much slower than you would be in my Super Cub.

I'm also planning an early Friday departure and Rollins Pass crossing (with fuel stops in Kremling and Rifle as I follow the Colorado River downhill). Looking forward to my first trip to the Jamboree!

Re: 2016 Mack Mesa Fat Tire Jamboree May 20-22

I recommend Over the Edge sports in Fruita for bike rental. Say hi to Tater when you go into town!

http://otesports.com/locations/fruita/

I'm in for a shuttle if we can get one. there's also some nice easy loops around Highline state park which is right next to Mack. that's where the 12 hours of Fruita race is held. But I'd love a ride over to 18 road if we can schedule it.

I will be bringing my bike. My legs and lungs are way out of shape though. Too much sittin' on my ass the last year.
