Very nice R66 with pop out floats and cargo hook. From Valdez, Alaska.

Glad to forward pictures! However, in my opinion, there is unfortunately no way to capture the HSF!!! Really impressive to say the absolute least and a must in person. Kevin is an incredible organizer. World class event,

Will be making a short video too. Thank you for following...

Thank you! How was the weather yesterday? I heard it was too windy and events were cancelled?

Looks like it could be better today.

Ahh... you ask good questions! I had to start back to Oahu, on Friday (for family issues). Hopefully, we can get a new thread or amend my incomplete thread here. The desert can encounter violent weather. Heavy weather tie downs, control locks, battens/covers are recommended. Hope everyone is still good there!

(Disclaimer #2: I drove to and from the event from Newport, Oregon. I’m still learning to fly the R44 locally, 150 PIC hours TT, 90 hours TTAF)

The weather Saturday was mostly blowing dust with poor visibility. It was a good call by the cowboys to run the STOL Drags on Friday. Early on Saturday a paraglider was being towed and he smacked the ground really hard on his tailbone. Needed a helicopter medical evacuation. He could still move his feet, so no paralysis, but still didn't look good. Overall the event was really safe with the Air Boss team doing a super ob. Here's what Sat looked like most of the day:
