2025 Greenville Seaplane Fly-in

Good afternoon all,

I am in hopes to be headed out to the International Seaplane Splash-in in Greenville, Maine in September. If all goes well I'll be flying my Super Cub out. If it doesn't go well, I'm not opposed to hitch hiking if someone else is headed out from Minnesota :D

If there is a decent conglomerate of folks from the midwest area interested in making the migration it would be great to get a gaggle together. And for anyone else going it'd be great to have a BCP gathering there if folks are interested. Keep in touch!

Re: 2025 Greenville Seaplane Fly-in

I plan to attend.... but I'll be driving from TN. This will be my third road trip to Greenville. I drive rather than flying because I have a couple of people I want to visit along the way who aren't convenient to an airport with transportation available.

I plan to make a stop in Lock Haven to visit the Piper museum and I'll spend at least one day at Old Rhinebeck. Arriving in Greenville on Sep 2nd.

The Cessna 195 group is having their annual convention in Brunswick Maine the same week. I have a buddy who will be attending that and he said they might have a fly-out to Greenville one day. So we could see a few 195s drop into the airport.

I really like Maine and enjoy this event. It would be even better to arrive on floats........

Re: 2025 Greenville Seaplane Fly-in

JH,

Unfortunately my summer is pretty booked this year, I have always wanted to fly to Greenville but have yet to be able to fit it into my summer list of things to do.

There are/were a couple of guys from my local EAA Chapter (Bemidji) that have gone. If I can make it to their meeting and cook out Thursday evening I will ask if anyone is going. Or fly down to Mobergs Seaplane base and introduce yourself. The seaplane base in just south of Bemidiji airport and has a grass strip along side the lake.

It is the second Thursday of the month which means we are back at the Moberg Air Base for burgers and brats! Fly or drive, come enjoy another great summer evening with your fellow aviators.

See you there,

We should squeeze into a tcraft for the journey…would look like someone baked a loaf of bread inside it.

If I'm back from the season in Alaska by then (moose flying - yea or nay?) I should be in Greenville for the fly-in. Our house is a 20 minute walk from the airport. PM me if you need anything. John

I’ll be driving up. In the past, I have camped up at the airport. I’ll most likely do that again if any othe BCP folks are camping.
