Those who went last year had a lot of fun. Jack and Myrna loved meeting new pilots and seeing airplanes on their strip so they asked us to do it again this year. This is a very low-key fly-in. Mostly just to camp and talk and pet Jack's dogs. There may be a few flyouts to local strips and flying "the Death Star trench" but mostly just kicking back and relaxing.
First things first: Liability. Jack will not permit you to land without having first signed the liability waiver. It can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ZlPRJG ... =send_form
You may sign it digitally or print it out and bring it with you.
Rich Finkle also created an outstanding informational video on flying into the Red Hills strip. I highly encourage anyone flying into Red Hills to watch it. It's also linked on the liability waiver.
We can arrive as early as Friday evening. Most folks will be arriving on Saturday. Plan to bring some potluck food for Saturday night. Bring your own meat and something else to share with everyone.
We had talked about flying out to Columbia or some other place for Sunday breakfast but Myrna usually insists on cooking breakfast. We had some great pancakes last time.
Given events at past fly-ins I just want to remind everyone that attends that Jack and Myrna are inviting us into their home. Please fly responsibly. Hot doggers will be asked to leave.
So anyway there it is. If you're looking for a nice low-key camping trip to start off this year's flying season this might just be for you.
