Will be leaving Dear Valley AZ. on the morning of the 17th, currently have KVLS Las Vegas New Mexico, and KCZD Cozad Nebraska for Fuel stops and maybe overnight some where.
Would be great to hook up with some of you along the way!, Going to KVLS to get around the tallest rocks.
If there are any other suggestions for stops, GAS, FOOD, Good place to Stay, or anything else please advise!!
This gives me about 450 mile legs 4-4.5 hr legs, have 6hrs with reserves.

Matt, That might be a good overnight spot! What airport would be the best to stop at?

OK, So if I overnight somewhere around Denver , that leaves about 700 miles to MN. If I draw a straight line, where is a good spot somewhere in the middle?

KDVT on the 17th, KAPA on the 18th, KSGS on the 19th, weather, headwinds, and all the other stuff willing!

Can't wait to see you. If anyone else in the Denver area wants to meet up on Friday evening and give George a mile hi welcome, please post up. Perhaps dinner at the perfect landing or near KAPA.

You might consider Albuquerque KAEG instead of Las Vegas. Great flying community, great restaurant on site (0800-1400). May even be able to provide some overnight hangar space. Possible a bed for the night.

Hey Folks, I made it home, the Pretty Husky made it to Wips, I want to thank Kent for entrusting his pretty little bird in my hands to get it there from Loreto MX. !!!


Had a great time along the way!! Met some great people, Left Loreto and flew up the coast to San Fellipe, then turned and went to Yuma, then to DVT to spend the night with some ol AK freinds who winter there! Missed Hafast in DVT as he had some excuse about going and flying a King Air! I did deviate from the plan abit, I went up and met a couple of crazy med pilots in Gallup!! Had lunch with them, Then up to Denver to have dinner with Mat n Luke Continued on to Lexington where I met SuperDan and his buddy, had lunch then on to KSGS, last 100 miles I had clouds!!?? only ones I found on the whole trip!! Last 20 miles was raining hard and vis was down a bit, but found the airport and tied the Husky down, kissed it goodbye, found a room for the night, Easter Sunday I got ahold of 46traft and BS'd him a bit, was running late and he was on the other side of town, I headed to PDX on Delta, then GEG on horizon, was home for a late Easter Dinner!! What a nice Week, 1900 miles 19.9 hours in the air, 140 gals of gas, had a nice Customs Gal in Yuma! Painless the whole way.
