57 year old Airworthiness Certificate

My Airworthiness Certificate is starting to disintegrate after 57 years. What are my options? Can I Photocopy it, or laminate it? Or apply for a new one?

If you take your old one to the FSDO I believe you can just get a new one. That's what I did, but I was changing my N number as well.

Yep FSDO for a new one.
I have laminated them before. It makes sense to preserve them.
I have had some say you aren't supposed to do that, but I can't find any regulation against lamination..

This application form may or may not be required for a replacement:
http://www.faa.gov/documentlibrary/medi ... 8130-6.pdfTry this first;
http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/fie ... ficate.pdfI'm guessing that you will need to send this application for replacement to OK city. Personally, I would take the old one, and a filled out application to FSDO and have a mechanical inspector work through it with me.
I went to the FAA site, and searched "replacement airworthiness certificate".
