Russ Reed has sent out email invitations to past participants, and it's open to all. Let me know if you're likely to come so that I can let him and Angie know--they provide the breakfast, and she's insisting that no one needs to bring any food, but she needs to know how much to fix--typically pancakes, fruit, sweet rolls, etc., juice, and lots of coffee.
There will be lots of camaraderie and flour-bombing contests--bring your own bombs, made from styrofoam cups. Every year it's grown, and it's always fun.
Reed International is northwest of GXY and northeast of the city of Fort Collins. It's 1CD1 on the Cheyenne Sectional, 2800' long at about 5350' MSL. It's a gravel/grass runway, smooth enough that just about any single can get in and out easily. Normal ops are land to the northwest, take off to the southeast. There are power lines at the northwest end. Com is 122.85 which will be monitored during the fly-in. More details on Airnav.
The plan is for Monday, May 27th, starting around 7 a.m.; "weather day" is actually the day before, and he'll send out an email if that happens--and I'll post it here.
Russ and Angie are as nice a couple as you'd ever know. I kept my airplane there for a year in Russ's hangar after Fort Collins Downtown closed until I got a hangar at GXY, so I got to know them pretty well.
