Well, it is March and I thought I would give this thread a bump. I have had several folks contact me off-line about the fly-in. We are hoping for better weather this year and the field will be ready. Pegasus can easily hold 25 to 30 planes. Like last year, there will be porta-potties, plenty of camping room, a place to wash but no place to shower, two barbeques, a refrigerator, and a large fire ring with wood.
There is a country B&B just across the road for those so inclined. There is also a motel nearby. This info is for those who can't handle tents!
We will be ready for arrivals Friday afternoon. The EAA hangar will be open with coffee, soda, and beer. Plus we will have some crock pots full of sandwich material and chips, salads, etc. If the nights are clear, there will be a couple of telescopes for observing. Saturday night we will have a a couple of aviation movies showing pilots doing things that I personally am afraid to try!
There are a couple of nice places less than a 30 minute flight away for breakfast and/or lunch. We will have information on them and try and oragnize a group flight if several people want to go. Going to Grimes Airpark to see their museum and hangars is also a cool destination. Here is a link to their web site
