You wanna see something funny, push the stick to go negative G and watch your dog. It might be kinda tough on the upholstery or whatever he's on top of though. #-o

Re: 12-31-2011 Flying Anyone??

I got a rental repair at 9:30

I was thinking of taking the wife to lunch in the plane. Anyone else flying to lunch? Want to meet?

Re: 12-31-2011 Flying Anyone??

Good morning Rob,
If the fog lifts, Dave, Chad & Katie, and I and maybe Pam are wheels up at 11:00 for Aurora to pick up Dave's plane and off to Mulino for lunch.
I was there a few Fridays ago and had some of the best clam chowder, hopin' they have some today.

Hope you had a great day.

Hoping to get up tomorrow. Looks like it should be also reasonably nice and, possibly, without the morning fog.

Re: 12-31-2011 Flying Anyone??

We made it to Mulino for lunch. M5guy was there, just leaving, said hi. We bumped into another pilot from Troutdale, Mary and she came to lunch with us. Then Hime, another pilot from McMinnville showed up. Then Larry a Friday Lenhardt coffee&doughnut regular showed up. straightail picked up his 182 at Aurora and got smoke in the cockpit on take off so he went back. Turned out just a little spilled oil. Then the fog grounded him. He tried 3 times to get to Mulino and couldn't make it. Missed you Dave! The mud was bad by the restaurant, I got my clean M7 dirty. All in all a good day for a MVFR day on the spur of the moment.

Nice day for flying in the Puget Sound area-- flew up to Concrete for the afternoon. Arriving back home around 415, I could hardly get a position report in on 123.00-- sounded like everybody from Crest Airpark was trying to get back in there!
Pretty good end to a pretty good year. Best wishes to all here for a good one in 2012.

Rob, I'm jealous! Had to work today, but I have next Tuesday, Wednesday off. Maybe we can fly somewhere then? Shot some fun rifles a few days ago. Ever shoot a pop can filled with Tannerite? Here's what happens:

Going to take my mother to lunch at Independence. If any of you BCPs want to meet for lunch I'll be there 12:15. The wx is just to nice not to fly.

Re: 2-6-2012 NW Orygun lunch flying?

Monday February 6th is a fly day in my world and I'm going FLYING!! Drinking coffee, walk with the daughter to school and a dip in the old hot tub. Then a lunch run. Don't know where yet. Anyone want to go somewhere?? Likely the last sunny day for a while.

Not near the gorge, to much turbulence. Madras, Salem, Independence, Mulino, McMinnville???

Cheers

Hey Chad, no it was Cessna Chad from McMinnville.
For a spur of the moment lunch it was great. 7 planes and 11 friends. Special guest Rob56 and Stacy were up from norcal, Rick, Harley, Chad, Dave, Terry, John and his friend, Larry, and me.

We had Mooney, Cessna, Citabria, Stinson, and Maule brands present.

Salem has two runways 13-31 16-34 in a x pattern. When we departed I was the last guy in line. The guys in front of me simply ask for the active runway, so ground sent them to 13. I ask for runway 16 Hotel intersection departure and cut them all off and took off first.

SCORE 1 for the Maule team! Good fun my friends!
