Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

8:50x6 on a C206

I’m looking for an STC to run 8.50x6’s on the mains of a 64 C206. They don’t appear to be on the original Data sheet. 7.00 currently on the nose.

Not sure if you have an Airglas nose fork, but if you do, the STC allows it and refers to the flight manual supplement which includes that combination.

Then you’re looking at a field approval.

Its hard, if not impossible to get field approvals here in NZ these days. I thought that would have been a popular STC. I'm surprised there isn't one.

Airglas STC is very popular, and it makes allowances for many different tire combos.

I know nothing about field approvals in NZ, but in the US, getting a FA for something that is already certified via STC is virtually impossible.

I’d buy the nose fork….that opens a wide range of tire options, and that nose fork is itself a great piece of equipment.

Re: 8:50x6 on a C206

The Landis /Air glass fork with a 800 and 850s on the mains is a good all around combo and steers much nicer than the 850 nose wheel.

I have 26 on the mains and 850 on the nose both combos keep the plane from being to tail low when loaded.

What pressure are folks running the 8.50x6 mains on the 206?
